Product Information & Pre-Loved Merchandise

The Ugly Duckling specializes in merchandise that may be new, new-with-tags, vintage, antique, collectible, pre-loved, gently used, discontinued, repurposed, or one of a kind.

We make reasonable efforts to accurately photograph and describe our merchandise, including known significant wear, characteristics, measurements, or imperfections.

Because vintage and pre-loved merchandise has had a previous life, reasonable signs of age, use, wear, patina, fading, variations, or other characteristics may be present.

Customers should carefully review all photographs, descriptions, measurements, condition information, pricing, shipping information, and other listing details before purchasing.

Colors and appearance may vary somewhat due to photography, lighting, monitors, and device settings.

All Sales Are Final

Except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly provided in our policies, The Ugly Duckling does not accept returns or exchanges.

Please review your purchase carefully before completing checkout.

Nothing in this Legal Notice is intended to waive or restrict a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

Shipping & Local Pickup

The Ugly Duckling does not offer free shipping.

Customers are responsible for applicable shipping charges. Because our unique merchandise is generally not packaged until sold, shipping weights and dimensions displayed or used for rate calculations may be based on reasonable estimates.

When practical, we may attempt to combine eligible purchases made by the same customer on the same day during our hours of operation to help reduce shipping costs. Combined shipping is not guaranteed.

Local Pickup is our only free fulfillment option and is available for eligible purchases by appointment.

Pricing & Availability

Prices, product availability, descriptions, measurements, and other information are subject to correction when legitimate errors occur.

Many of our treasures are one of a kind. An item placed in a shopping cart is not necessarily reserved until the checkout and payment process has been successfully completed.

If an item becomes unavailable after payment because of an inventory error or other legitimate availability issue, we will take appropriate action, which may include canceling and refunding the affected purchase.

Vintage, Antique & Collectible Items

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a product listing, descriptions concerning an item's age, era, maker, origin, attribution, history, rarity, or collectible nature are based on information reasonably available to us.

The Ugly Duckling does not guarantee future resale value, investment value, or appreciation of merchandise.

Customers purchasing collectibles, antiques, or other potentially valuable merchandise are encouraged to review the complete listing and conduct any additional research they consider appropriate before purchasing.
