A Beautiful Dress Still Waiting for Its Wedding 🤍

Some wedding dresses have a story before they ever make it down the aisle. This is one of them.

This beautiful David’s Bridal ivory satin wedding gown was purchased new for my wedding. Then COVID changed our plans, as it did for so many couples, and I ultimately wore a different dress.

This gown was never worn for my wedding and has never been worn to an event. It has been waiting in storage ever since, and now it is ready for another bride to make it part of her own story.

The gown is a David’s Bridal size 18 in a gorgeous ivory satin. It features a flattering trumpet silhouette that follows the figure before flowing into a beautifully structured skirt and train. The elegant covered buttons down the back give it that classic bridal finish that never really goes out of style.

Even better, a professional seamstress has already created the bustle, saving the next bride an alteration that would otherwise need to be done before the wedding. The train can be bustled for the reception, dancing, and easier movement after the ceremony.

Fit & Alterations

The gown is labeled size 18 and has approximately 2 inches of additional room available for alterations.

For a size 18, it should provide a beautiful fit depending on individual measurements. A size 20 may be able to wear the gown with a more fitted silhouette, while a size 16 may find it slightly roomy and could have it professionally taken in.

Because bridal sizing is notoriously different from everyday clothing sizing, please compare your measurements with the gown’s actual measurements before purchasing.

No crinoline or petticoat is necessary. The gown already has beautiful structure and fullness on its own.

Important Condition Disclosure

The gown is never worn, but it has been in storage since it was originally purchased.

Because it has been stored for several years, I recommend that the new owner have it professionally bridal cleaned or refreshed before the wedding. This recommendation is because of its time in storage, not because the dress was previously worn.

Please review all photographs carefully. The gown is being sold in its current stored condition.

Belt, Veil & Accessories

The beautiful jeweled belt shown in some of the photographs is sold separately and is not permanently attached to the gown. This gives the bride the option of wearing the gown beautifully on its own, adding the belt for a little sparkle, or having a seamstress permanently attach it if desired.

A veil and additional coordinating bridal accessories are also available separately. These accessories were also purchased for the wedding but were never worn or used.
